Description:
- Private NGO, incorporated in Ghana in
August, 1999. It is out to address and promote a seemingly obvious yet
neglected aspects of women's health - personal hygiene and menstrual
health care - which we believe are central to combating Reproductive
Tract Infections and Pelvic Inflammatory Diseases. We provide
educational, technical, moral and material support to service
providers, schools, youth training institutes and women organizations.
Our goals are to enable every Ghanaian youth especially the girl-child
to experience a healthy reproductive life, free from diseases and
ailments, pain or death; to manage her own fertility effectively and
safely; and encourage the boy-child to appreciate the synergy between
the women's reproductive health and theirs and that of the entire
family.
As we enter the new millennium, the forces that shape human qualities,
increasingly cut across geographic barriers with ease. There are far
more we have in common with one another than ever before. The time is
here to build bridges - bridges of ideas, understanding, compassion
and mutual respect.
